“I was born and raised in Edmonton, AB, where I still work and reside. I am also an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta cross-appointed between the Aboriginal Teacher Education program (undergraduate) and the Indigenous Peoples Education program (graduate).

I lost my only child at 31-yrs-old to fentanyl in December 2022. Since then, I have become involved in advocacy work with and for people who use drugs. While this is my first experience as a Board Member, I have decades of experience working on committees in various sectors.”
