International Drug User Rights Day

International Drug Users’ Day (IDUD) falls on November 1st, and is recognized as a Global Day of Action. Each year, people who use drugs (PWUD) along with service providers, come together to affirm the rights and improve services for PWUD.

AAWEAR stands in solidarity in raising awareness and showcasing the importance of advocating for the health and human rights of PWUD, as well as recognizing the critical work of conducting community-led harm reduction with peer involvement.

Today, and every day, join us in raising awareness about the importance of ending the stigma surrounding drug use.

We acknowledge that what we call Alberta is the traditional and ancestral territory of many peoples, presently subject to Treaties 6, 7, and 8.
